Big Adventures, Earned Together.

✨ The Ultimate Teen Travel Club for Adventure and Growth

Kindraza Wayfinders is a teen-led travel club where members dream big, vote on where to go, and earn their way to unforgettable destinations—together. No handouts, no boring lectures—just teamwork, hustle, and real-world adventures.

At Kindraza Wayfinders, we go beyond just planning trips. We help teens ages 12–15 build the skills, mindset, and community to make their own adventures possible. Every season, our club meets weekly to:

  • Vote on an exciting travel destination

  • Plan every detail together—from routes to budgets

  • Brainstorm how to fundraise or earn money through real-life activities

  • Build side gigs like babysitting, face painting booths, community events, and more

  • Track every milestone toward their goal

  • Grow into confident, resourceful young travelers

AND THE BEST PART?

Kindraza may match up to 1/3 of the trip cost, but the rest is earned by the teens through teamwork, creativity, and entrepreneurial action. No parent handouts, no passive fundraising - just real ownership of the journey❗️

With mentorship, community, and a little adventure, Wayfinders learn what it means to shape their own path—then take it. 💙

How it works

What is Kindraza Wayfinders?

Kindraza Wayfinders is a dynamic youth adventure program designed for teens aged 12-15 who crave exploration, creativity, and community. As part of Kindraza, a nonprofit dedicated to teen mental health and holistic development, this teen travel club meets weekly to plan biannual trips voted on by members. From national parks to cultural hotspots, our teen adventure travel experiences emphasize teamwork, planning, and entrepreneurship.

Unlike traditional teen summer programs or high school travel clubs that rely on parental funding, Wayfinders empowers teens to take charge. We focus on building a fun, supportive environment that replaces screen time with real connections and life skills.

How the Teen Travel Club Works

Our structured yet flexible program ensures every teen can participate and succeed:

Join

Kindraza Wayfinders runs on a simple monthly membership of $45, which covers weekly meetings, mentorship, planning materials, group activities, access to our WhatsApp chat, and eligibility for travel opportunities. Our 2 hr meetings currently take place on Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in a local library at 766 College St, Toronto until our dedicated space opens.

🤝 No teen is excluded for financial reasons. If cost is a barrier, please reach out, we’ll work with you. Contact us if you need help with the monthly membership fees.

Vote & Plan

Wayfinders don’t just join trips - they design them. Twice a year, teens pitch their dream destinations to the group, making the case for:

  • Why this place is worth visiting

  • What makes it unique or exciting

  • What we could learn or experience there

After a democratic vote, the winning destination is chosen. Together, we break down travel details: transportation, food, activities, and build a realistic per-person budget for the adventure ahead.

This way, every trip becomes a true youth-designed adventure.

Earn & Fundraise

Each teen must cover at least two-thirds of their trip cost through verified activities like babysitting, small businesses, or side hustles. Family money and parental donations aren’t allowed. Teens may also team up with peers in the Kindraza community to launch joint ventures, gaining real entrepreneurial experience. As a group, we also run collaborative fundraisers such as car washes, craft booths, student painting services, or children’s business fairs, and etc, teaching teamwork, marketing, and problem-solving skills.

Kindraza may contribute up to one-third of the total trip cost, ensuring goals stay ambitious but achievable.

Travel & Explore

Wayfinders travel as a team to their chosen destination, experiencing the adventure they planned and earned. Every trip becomes a living classroom filled with cultural exploration, teamwork, independence, and unforgettable memories.

Parents are welcome to join Wayfinders trips as volunteers, while our dedicated staff experienced in youth education and group organization ensures safety, structure, and guidance throughout. With this support, teens not only explore new places but also gain positive, lasting memories and feelings that strengthen their confidence and sense of belonging.

From planning to execution

Mentorship & Guidance

Kindraza Wayfinders is a teen travel club designed to teach independence, teamwork, and entrepreneurship through mentorship, real-world experiences and adventures. Every step, from planning trips to earning funds and exploring destinations, is mentored and supervised to ensure safety, learning, and fun.

Parents can feel confident knowing:

  • Safety comes first: Trips and activities are led by staff experienced in youth education and organization.

  • Positive outcomes: Wayfinders isn’t “just another after-school activity.” Teens actively build independence, confidence, teamwork skills, and financial literacy—developing habits and memories that last a lifetime.

  • Mentor guidance: From earning ideas to group fundraisers, from trip planning to business and babysitting skills—teens are never left on their own. Experienced mentors guide them with structure, accountability, and encouragement, making sure they learn while staying on track.

  • Parent involvement: Parents are welcome to participate as volunteers on trips and at events.

  • Wayfinders Community Chat: Teens get access to our dedicated WhatsApp group. Here, teens exchange ideas, plan fundraisers, and stay updated on club news, all under the guidance of Kindraza educators and mentors in entrepreneurship, babysitting and communication. This community is intentionally built to connect teens with like-minded, motivated peers who inspire one another to grow, stay focused, and work toward positive goals. It gives teens a sense of belonging while building friendships and confidence along the way.

The Importance of Positive Peer Groups for Teens

Why Being in the Right Crowd Matters

In the whirlwind of teenage years, the people you surround yourself with profoundly shape your future.

During adolescence, your social circle can make or break your trajectory as positive peers propel you forward, while the wrong ones hold you back. Kindraza Wayfinders curates a vibrant, mentor-led group of ambitious teens, blending purposeful tech use (for pitches and fundraising) with immersive, hands-on experiences to fuel your best self. This crowd ignites brain growth by sparking collaborative innovation, like debating trip ideas, which rewires neural pathways for sharper decision-making and adaptability, per neurodevelopment experts. Mentally, it shields against teen isolation, cultivating resilience and self-worth through shared successes that slash anxiety risks and nurture emotional depth. Socially, it refines your voice via persuasive presentations and group dynamics, forging unbreakable bonds and leadership prowess for life. Ultimately, this empowering network amplifies ambition, turning everyday teens into trailblazers!

Boosting Brain Growth, Mental Health, and Communication Skills

Why Travel Matters

Travel isn’t a luxury, it’s a catalyst for human growth, backed by neuroscience and psychology. For teens, whose brains are still wiring for adulthood, it’s especially potent. Here’s a broad view, emphasizing brain development, mental health, and communication. Broader impacts include combating isolation: group travel fosters belonging, reducing depression risk by 30% in frequent travelers, according to South Korean studies. Wayfinders’ supportive community provides a screen-free escape, building emotional agility and self-esteem.

Communication Skills: Travel hones verbal and non-verbal skills, crucial for teens navigating peer dynamics and future careers. Interacting across cultures teaches active listening, adaptability, and empathy—key to effective communication. Studies show travelers develop “social attractiveness,” improving rapport through gestures, eye contact, and tone sensitivity.

Teens learn to pitch ideas persuasively, collaborate in peer teamwork during planning and fundraisers, and read social cues, improving overall interactions and reducing misunderstandings by 20%. This process also builds developing lifelong friendships through shared challenges and triumphs, preparing participants for strong personal networks and leadership.

In essence, travel rewires the brain for adaptability, heals mental strains through connection and novelty, and sharpens communication for a globalized world. Drawbacks like initial anxiety exist, but Wayfinders’ mentor support mitigates them, turning challenges into strengths.
